Visit of the WHO Representative to Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery
On 20 September 2026, Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery had the privilege of welcoming representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Sri Lanka for a special visit to the monastery.
During their visit, the guests paid homage to the Buddha, participated in religious observances and the offering of alms, and had the opportunity to observe several facilities and activities of the monastery.
The occasion provided a meaningful opportunity to experience the peaceful monastic environment and gain a closer understanding of the spiritual, educational, and community services carried out at Jethavanarama.
