The annual Rains Retreat (Vassana) was observed at Ingiriya Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery with deep reverence and dedication.
During this three-month period, the resident monks remained within the monastery, devoting themselves to intensive meditation, study of the Dhamma, and disciplined monastic practice. Lay devotees supported the Sangha by offering alms and other requisites, cultivating generosity and merit.
The retreat strengthened the spiritual bond between the monastic and lay communities while fostering mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion.
